A DHI transplant is the newest and improved version of a FUE hair transplant. The harvesting procedure stays the same if we compare it to a FUE transplant. DHI technique
The DHI technique is a variant of the FUE technique.
The extraction phase is performed as usual using a micromotor equipped with a punch.
The difference in this technique is the use of pens called CHOI which will allow the creation of the canal and the graft to be carried out at the same time
The DHI technique is a very valid technique if used correctly and allows, like classic FUE, a resumption of activities
daily activities within a few days without leaving expensive scars in the donor area
FUE Hair Transplant
Hair transplantation using the fue technique (follicular unit extraction) is a hair transplantation technique where follicular units are transferred from a donor area not prone to alopecia to
a recipient area prone to alopecia.
The operation takes place under local anaesthesia and enables resumption of daily activities within a few days.
The first phase the extraction. The extraction that characterises this technique is performed by means of a micromotor equipped with punches of different calibre, which allows the follicular
units to be individually extracted without damaging them
and guaranteeing healing within about
one week without leaving conspicuous scars typical of transplants performed with old and obsolete techniques
The second stage consists in creating channels, i.e.
small surgical incisions in the hairless recipient area where
the follicular units will be placed.
Incisions will be made in such a way as to ensure correct orientation of the follicular units to ensure correct orientation of the ‘new hair’ that will grow back later
The third step is the grafting, where the medical staff will individually place the follicular units taken into the newly created channels
The great advantage of this technique is a complete recovery of the patient within a few days and the
fact that it guarantees extremely natural results
